The London Nobody Knows

Upper-Intermediate and Advanced

Or, at least, that nobody knew in the late 60's when the film was made.
My friend D. is an indefatigable walker of the streets of London and, knowing that I like the city, he sent me the following pieces about the secrets that it still held some forty years ago:

"The London Nobody Knows" Part 1:

Part 2 is here, Part 3 here, Part 4 here.

Please notice that the film was shot in 1967 and that the urban and human landscapes may have changed substantially ever since; some of the city spots and characters quite probably no longer exist, so take the images as a sort of archaeological museum on film. You can also pay attention (in spite of the bad sound) to the funny accents the different speakers have, from the presenter James Mason to the street salesmen in one of the pieces.
I am sure that, despite the passing of time, you can still find many hidden corners in London just by going off the beaten track a bit and exploring the city on your own, so good luck in your quest.
