What about a bit of art for the holidays?
If you are staying around over Easter and miss your dose of fine art, you can enjoy The National Gallery's superb collections from your sofa, simply by clicking here. The virtual tour will take you to the exhibition rooms and close to the paintings, so make sure you go full screen and find your way around by checking the "floorplans" tag.
Nothing compares to the real thing, but this can make up for the wait until you go to London and see the originals there.
And there is also the National Gallery of Scotland, a wonderful chest of pictorial treasures nesting at the very heart of Scotland. Edinburgh holds plenty of reasons to pay a visit to (pubs, for example) but the gallery can be your little excuse to plan an escapade there.
See you after the break, I'm off to the Loch!
