Apropos of nothing

As a child, I spent many an afternoon watching films on TV that shamelessly depicted the massacre the white man had inflicted upon the First Nations of North America (the Indians, basically). Recently I found some websites that tell the story of the surviving indians, and their present living conditions. One of the links took me to the site of the Blackfeet Nation. There I got to this interesting story, of man and beast facing each other in the ruthless wild:

Well, that was just a blog note, a light introduction to a very interesting topic, with thousands of references around the web. If you don't know where to start, these might be a couple of ideas: http://lens.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/10/20/behind-22/ (Excellent photo-essay)

I have to leave now, tonight is the annual tribal moondance on the Black Mounts, off the bounds of Zaragoza City, and I have to rush to join my tribe there.
Hau!
